Many of our customers do. The Olivia is cut generously, so sizing down still gives you a comfortably relaxed shirt with a slightly neater look. If you are between sizes, go for the smaller size. If you love a properly oversized feel, stay with your usual size and enjoy the room.

Almost. A boyfriend shirt is a classic shirt worn loose and relaxed. The Olivia is cut oversized on purpose, so you get that same easy, borrowed feeling with a much cleaner fit at the shoulders and collar. If you love the boyfriend shirt look, this is the considered version of it.

The one side tuck is the most flattering. Keep the button side, the side that sits on top, out and untucked, and tuck only the other side. It creates a soft diagonal line and shows where your waist is. A simple French tuck at the front works too, and a full tuck with tailored trousers is the smartest option for work.

Worn open, a fitted vest, a simple T Shirt or a rib dress all work beautifully and keep the layers neat. Worn buttoned, a smooth vest sits well under paler fabrics. It is one of the reasons an oversized shirt earns its place, it works as a shirt and as a light layer.

Poplin is a closely woven cotton with a smooth face and a crisp, structured feel. The tight weave is what keeps the collar sharp and the shape architectural, which is why it is the classic fabric for a white shirt. Our chambray and textured Olivias are cut from the same block but in softer fabrics with drape.
