Imogen Denim Skirt - Dark Wash

A deeper indigo behaves almost like a neutral, so it takes black, ivory and cream without any thought. Camel, chocolate and burgundy warm it up through autumn, while a crisp white shirt keeps it sharp. Because the wash is dark, the outfit reads more polished than a paler denim would.

Keep the top half close to the body so the fuller hem has room to move. A tucked T Shirt with trainers is the easy daytime version, and a fine knit with boots or a heeled ankle boot takes it into the evening. A blazer or shacket over the top adds structure without adding bulk.

The Imogen is an A line midi that sits below the knee, which is the length that balances the volume through the hem. It works with a flat and with a heel, and the model in the images is 5'9 in a size 10 for reference.

The Imogen is designed to be taken in the usual size. The waistband has a flat front with a softly elasticated back, which gives a little give across the waist and makes the fit forgiving between sizes. Full measurements for every size are on the size and fit guide.

It is cut from a 64 percent cotton and 36 percent lyocell denim, made in Turkey. The lyocell is what gives the fabric its fluidity, so the skirt moves and drapes rather than holding rigid the way a heavy raw denim would. Wash at 30 degrees inside out to protect the dark wash, cool iron, do not tumble dry.
